Recommended Phase II Partnership — Package Overview
The next phase is organized into two tracks, each with a recommended core package and a menu of add-ons the University may select based on need. The two tracks may be selected independently or together.
Track A — Board of Trustees Services & Track B — President's Cabinet & University Administration
Track A — Board of Trustees Services
- Mid-Year Board Retreat (1 Day) — Focused mid-cycle retreat to align on strategic priorities, deepen governance capacity, and strengthen the Board–President partnership. Includes expert facilitation and all program materials.
- Pre- & Post-Retreat Consultation — Dedicated consultation before and after the Mid-Year Board Retreat, spanning up to 3 months, to align on priorities and carry outcomes into implementation.
- Board Development Online Portal (Continued Access) — Continued access to curated governance resources, templates, and policy tools, plus customization of program materials to fit the Board's specific needs.
- Senior Dedicated Program Manager — A senior program manager overseeing logistics, scheduling, communication, materials, and implementation.
- 26–27 End-of-Year Board Retreat (or Beginning-of-Year Board Retreat) — Extends the governance cadence with a second annual retreat, timed to close out the prior fiscal/academic year or to launch the new one.
- Land-Grant Governance Development (Joint 12-Month Consultative Track) ★ — A 12-month consultative engagement on governance and leadership practices specific to FAMU's land-grant institution status, delivered jointly across the Board of Trustees and the President's Cabinet to keep both bodies aligned over time.
- Strategic Priorities Progress Check — structured review of progress against SMART objectives and strategic goals; recalibration as needed.
- Vision & Goal Alignment — connecting institutional vision to measurable goals and clarifying Board oversight responsibilities.
- Accountability & Data-Informed Governance — building capacity to interpret performance data and engage in data-driven oversight.
- Policy Review & Governance Coherence — strengthening policy literacy and identifying gaps or misalignments.
- Presidential Evaluation & Performance Leadership — refining evaluation frameworks and ensuring a fair, aligned process.
- Board–President Relationship & Collaboration — role clarity, communication norms, trust-building, and aligned decision-making.
- Budget Oversight & Fiscal Responsibility — coaching on fiscal responsibilities, budget monitoring, and strategic resource alignment.
Track B — President's Cabinet & University Administration

If signed by September 30, 2026, The Pavon Firm will curate a Customized R1 & R2 Expert Consultation Session with our subject-matter experts, to support FAMU's research classification advancement.

None of these are separately priced — the Pavon Firm will highly customize and prioritize which receive emphasis based on each group's specific needs, as identified through Discovery and ongoing consultation.

Package Selection
Please check the items Florida A&M University elects to move forward with. Selected items will be finalized in a formal agreement sent via DocuSign following our proposal meeting.
